The Greenbelt Authority cultivated Maize and Cotton crops under the Mega Farms Project which commenced at the onset of the 2022/23 rainfall. At Nchalo the Authority cultivated Maize at 122 hectares, at Mkopola it cultivated maize and at Chipoka it cultivated Cotton at 82 hectares.
